Description
WOOLY BULLY oil 24 x 18 in. Artist’s Value: $ 3,000 Artist Statement: Buffalo are an iconic part of western heritage . I loved the texture of the hair and how the light and shadow create colour. Artist Bio: Darcy grew up in both Alberta and British Columbia, and with her farm background it is not surprising that Darcy’s primary focus is western art. She finds inspiration at brandings, cattle drives, rodeos and sometimes in a field at the side of the highway. Darcy sees animals, everyday activities and gear of the working cowboy as unique. Darcy loves to depict people and animals, particularly horses, and finds a story in every painting. Darcy works in oils, pastels, graphite and charcoal. She has been juried a number of years, into the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase Art Auction. Her work can be found in the Parks Canada collection and private collections in North America and New Zealand. darcypresiloski.com
